FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, OWERRI SET TO RESUME SOON.
Sequel to the fact that the Federal University of Technology, Owerri is on her strike which has been grounded for two months already and there still being speculation of adjournment to a further date despite the fact that a date of resumption has been given; it has come to our notice that the school management has put into consideration the plea of the student's union government for resumption to enable her student's meet up with other schools who have already finished their first semester and some kicking-starting their second semester soon especially her 400level students whom are yet to go for their industrial work experience scheme(SIWES/IT).
But the problem is that the SUG is not accepting the increment of the school fees and the price of damage given by the school management.
The big question is: Should the SUG succumb to the management school fees increase and price of damage to allow students return to school; or should the SUG maintain her solidarity in fighting corruption to maintain an affordable school fees payment by her students?
As for me, I don't think we should be in a hurry to resume. Whether we want it or not, it's no longer possible that we can resume next week. It must be on that scheduled date 24th and above.
Why don't you take it like this?
If we should give in to their threat, what about the students that have been expelled?
What about the two months that we have stayed at home?
What should be our fate when we resumes?
